The sound here is also fantastic, with this game including some great cartoony sound effects, adorable nonverbal vocal expressions from the characters, and a beautiful soundtrack full of excellent remixes of songs from the earlier Donkey Kong Country games, along with some new compositions that fit in well with the classic tunes.ĭonkey Kong Country Returns plays beautifully as well, although I say that with a caveat - this game is notoriously tough, and players who see this game’s color and cartoony charm and expect something along the lines of a Mario game are in for a rude awakening.
